The great depression…

After the scorched hot weather rain finally soothed everyone, mother earth, trees, grass, animals, birds and also humans. Everyone enjoyed the relief and sweet drops of rain. But Rinky hates it! She slips in to depression and continues to remain in bad mood. Her world turns monotonous and full with melancholy. A continuous sadness haunts her all the time and it will continue until spring enters followed by warm sunny weather. She loves summer, its warmth, the breeze that blows…the clouds in the sky. She enjoys its hotness a lot more than the weary cold, damp or wet!

Rain never brought happiness to Rinky…and this year it brought more sadness. She hated the damped weather, cold and darkness. It turned her world boring. Watching movies, listening music anything she loved didn’t help her. Her mood dwindled. She took a fight with her best friend, the one who brought some shine, laughter and love to her life. Her parents continuously complained of her unfriendly, unsocial behaviour. She can’t explain her troubles and remains subdued in her. Her words have lost and caused a deep writer’s block which she failed to overcome. And on top of that the fight with her best friend left an adverse effect.

Rinky can fix things right, just by calling once…but her ego comes in the way. She waited for the call which would never come, at least this time. She knew it. The last fight turned things ugly. It brought things which were never supposed to come; words were behind the curtains of love and friendship. Rinky can now understand the reality much better. Finally she decided to let it go…she can’t be the reason for others unhappiness. She will dwell and wait until sun strikes again and turn her sad world into happiness!
